This is going to be a quick walkthrough of the new story quiz I have out. I'm going to go question by question with you and explain what's going on. It's 8 fun questions that you can take on the story quiz website to figure out which story archetype works best for your brand based on the answers you provide. I wanted to give you a sneak peek into the quiz so when you take it, you know where it's going and what to expect.
The best way to start a conversation is by introducing yourself. So I wanted to let you know a little about me, my story and my business. Also, you'll get an idea of how every episode will be structured: I'll start by giving you an update on what's been going on. Then I'll talk about a random list and a movie hit. Lastly, I'll get into the episode's topic where we'll have an open and genuine conversation.
Fear is a topic I wanted to talk about because for the longest time it held me back. And I'm sure it's something that holds many people back. It's a defense mechanism, it's a survival mechanism, and it's not a bad thing. In fact, for me, fear is a good thing. But it's about learning how to deal with it, how to live with it, and how to use it to your advantage.
Everyone tells you to use stories because storytelling is so powerful, so knowing how to tell stories is incredibly important. The way you tell your stories communicates your culture, values, who you are as a brand, and how you want to be perceived. It is at the heart of all that you do, from writing emails to marketing. But no one shows you how. Until now...
As a big dreamer and action taker, I start my own creative business. But I always had trouble expressing myself. Soon I felt myself lost and with a voice. But when I took a marketing personality test, I realized that the best way for me to connect with other business owners was through a podcast. So I started dreaming and putting them into action. As I was putting everything together, it felt right and good.
But when things weren't falling perfectly into place, doubt and insecurities began to creep in. I started to doubt myself, my abilities, my dreams and my potential for success. But after talking with other designers and entrepreneurs, I realized that everyone deals with the same things. And I wanted to let them know they weren't alone in their struggles. So I pushed on. In the end I finally put this podcast together for creatives and small business owners, like you, to be a part of the conversations about being a creative and a business owner. It's a safe space to dream big together, support each other, and to inspire action. So, come sit with me and let's dayjream together.
Fueled by equal parts sweet tea and passion, I spend my days capturing the kinds of images that make you stop, smile and ask time to please slow down. Your story, your love, is beautiful and I can’t wait to capture it in images you will treasure for years to come.
I believe in real moments and heartfelt conversations on the front porch. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.
